Splash MM was hired by Pernod Ricard to execute a 6 month Tasting Program of Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve in the Duty Free shops at Toronto Pearson International Airport.The Glenlivet brand is the biggest selling single malt whisky in the United States and the second biggest selling single malt brand globally.
Splash MM Tasters attended a seminar at the Airport’s Head Office where they were trained by Glenlivet Master, tasting various products to be able to determine the specific notes and attributes of what makes Glenlivet really the best!
The Airport is a great place to reach thousands of customers a day; we are able to make your flying a little more enjoyable by offering a great taste and a great experience. Splash MM Tasters set up the Glenlivet tasting bar in the Duty Free shops with great pride, displaying all of the variants within the brand, and invited travelers to taste a sample. Tasters educated customers on the unique three-wood distillery process of The Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve, while reinforcing the message that quality is the key attribute of the brand. They were astounded by the number of female consumers that commented that Scotch was a “man’s drink”. Splash MM was able to expand their market to women by giving them the opportunity to taste Glenlivet and appreciate the smooth delicious drink.
Our Splash MM Tasters reinforced the professional brand image of the product and drove sales beyond the client and the stores expectations. Words used to describe our Tasters included approachable, educated, beautiful and welcoming and all travelers appreciated the opportunity to sample prior to purchasing this truly unique, complex product.
