In July, Splash MM was honoured to play an integral part in the 6th Annual Sony PlayStation Golf Tournament held at The Country Club Golf Course in Woodbridge, ON. This tournament raised money for Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer. Camp Ooch does not receive any government funding whatsoever so money raised from this event helps these brave children get a chance to live a normal life and have a fun, positive and memorable experience at camp, away from the hospitals that they are so familiar with.
The conditions were perfect as the 95+ participants took to the course at 8am after being treated to breakfast during the opening ceremony. Golfers were greeted at each hole by a Splash MM representative who ensured their day of golf was as enjoyable as possible. Splashers kept the fun going with various contests including longest drive, fastest swing, closest to the pin and the always entertaining longest drive with a marshmallow. Needless to say, all golfers had an exciting time out on the golf course!
When the golfing concluded, all participants headed back to the clubhouse to refuel after a great day on the links with a delicious lunch followed by even more excitement in the form of a raffle and a silent auction, run by our awesome Splash MM reps. With all proceeds going to Camp Ooch, our friendly and encouraging Splashers worked their magic resulting in maximum bids on all silent auction items and record sales of raffle tickets. The end result was a cheque to Camp Oochigeas in the amount of $ 50,000!! Congratulations to PlayStation for an amazing day in support of an amazing cause, Camp Oochigeas…”a special place for Children with cancer”. We are proud to be a part of it!
Looking forward to next year!
